Twitter
It doesn't stop here. There are more ways to promote yourself online and more sites you can use to do it with. Recently I have started dabbling with Hubpages to generate extra incoming traffic to my Mobile Phone Recycling Review site and this blog as well. I wrote a previous post on using Hubpages here. Hubpages are a great way to not only promote your site and gain traffic but you can gain signups for your programs right from the Hubpage itself.
Here are a couple of Hubpages I have made the past week that should inspire you.
I am still learning about Hubpages myself but it's been good so far so I shall endeavour.
BT Trade Space
In wanting to promote my mobile site. I came across a good site to use to do so. It's by BT (British Telecom) and is mainly for actual UK business owners to promote their business online. Although anyone can use it. So I created my own trading space Sell Your Mobile - BT Tradespace. It's too early to tell how effective it's going to be for me at the minute but I will keep adding blog posts to it and adding friends in the similar niche. Watch this space.
Gather
Gather is a place to meet people who share your interests. Talk about news and express yourself with writing, pictures and videos. And meet new people and make friends. I started my own Gather site for my Get More Swagbucks blog. Purely to generate some traffic to my blog and gain Swag Bucks referrals. I haven't really done much since creating it but I shall return to address it. If you do join up be sure to add yourself to that group.
Blogging Networks
Other than blogging directories there are also blogging networks that you can submit your blog to as well. The only thing is your blog will need to be approved by the network first so it needs to be a little established.
This blog itself is a member of some such blogging networks such as BlogCatalog, MyBlogLog, CMFAds, UKBlogDirectory, Adgetize & BlogCarnival. As well as some others but I can't remember what they are lol..
More (yes more) ways to promote yourself
Twitter. Pretty much everyone who wants to promote their blog or site or business online uses twitter. Depending on how many followers you have and how often you send tweets. Twitter can be good for generating targeted traffic to your site or blog.

Google & Yahoo groups
Thousands of people use Google groups everyday and I've been using Google groups for ages to send emails to the posting groups. But the most effective way to use them is to go onto each group and manually start a new page. People are lazy and not many people use this method of posting to Google groups. There are many money making groups on google that you can post too. What you should do is create an HTML page and save it to your computer. Then go onto Google groups and start a new page. (new page not new post) and then copy that page into the post. Write the title and submit it. Job done. Then repeat that process on all the groups. As you keep doing it, more and more people will see your page and visit your site through it.
The same applies for the Yahoo groups as well really. You can start your own group and post to it and send out invites and join other groups and post in those as well. It takes time but it can work out in the long run.
