Promoting Your Website Online

If you are looking to promote yourself online. And by that I mean to promote your blog or site. You are going to need a little help. Thankfully that help is quite easy to come by when you know how to get it and how to use it.

You may be an affiliate like I am for a number of websites. I am actually an affiliate for Webgains and DGMPro. As well as a few others but they are the main ones I am using today because they actually work and I am actually making money with them. I will be doing a post soon on how to use them to make money online in any niche.

So lets set a scenario. (And bare with me because I am making this up as I go along) Let's say you signed up to CashCrate or Cashle. Or some other site you want to get referrals for and forward people onto it. As a complete ammature you are probably going to ask yourself how you can get referrals for these programs. Well the most obvious thing to do would be to start a blog!

Just like the blog here you can start your own blog and call it whatever you want. You have a number of choices when doing that as well. You can create a free blog like I did here. Or you can purchase your own site and hosting plan and run your blog from there. I chose the free option at first because after all it was my mission to make Real Free Money Online. And not spend a dime doing it. (I am a living testament that you can do that also).

Lets try and keep it simple

I'm going to keep it short and share with you a few ways and the sites you can use to market and promote yourself online with.

The first way of course is by starting a blog. As I said you can start a free one by either choosing Blogger or Wordpress.

You can start a blog on anything you like. And I mean anything. Blogging is an effective way to gain signups for your programs and make a brand name for yourself online.

Once you have a blog running. It's time to start posting! I would imagine once you've picked the niche you are going to be blogging about you would know how to write things about that niche. I am sure you have much to say about it and can add nice pictures to your posts. The good thing here about a blog is that the more unique content you add to it the more the search engines are going to deliver traffic to you.

When blogging there are things you will learn on the way. Like writing good keyword based posts. Using ALT tags in images. Making sure you have good META tags. Once you've mastered some SEO you can slowly work on building up backlinks and promoting your site in other ways.

Some of the way and sites I will show you, you will already know of. They include social bookmarking sites such as Digg and Stumbleupon. Social bookmarking sites that you should be a member of and have an account with so that you can submit all your posts to them and have other people do the same.
