Top Forums To Post ToAs you may know using forums is a sure fire way of generating traffic to your blog or site. Depending on the topic you start on a forum or how much you have to talk about. You can generate traffic from forums. Be it a link in your sig profile or because of a post you have started on a certain topic.
Everyone knows forums can generate traffic for you. The more active and popular a forum is the more traffic it will generate you. The same goes for the more interesting your topic is.
Forums are also a great way to meet like minded people who are interested in the same niche as you so that you can network with these people and build up backlinks for your site or blog.
There are millions of forums on the internet. Obviously you can't be a member of all of them and naturally you would only want to be a member of the ones in your niche. Also the more forums you are a member of the longer it is going to take to post to all of them.
When being a member of a forum. Your reputation pretty much goes by your post count. The longer you have been a member and the more posts you have the more you will be deemed as a trusted member.
However being a new member of a forum with hardly any posts clocked up still doesn't mean you can't generate any traffic for yourself. As I said it all depends on the topic you post.
On most forums there is an Introductions category. So at first you would want to post there to say hello and explain a little about yourself and why you joined etc.
After this, you could then proceed to view new forum posts. Most forums have a "new posts" link that will show you the most recent posts that have been made. You can then browse through and take part in the conversations adding your own helpful input. While doing this not only will you be building up your post count but you'll also be making a name for yourself on that forum and become to be known by people.
On literally every forum you join you will be able to add your sites link in your sig profile so it will show up on every post you make.
But this is all pretty common sense and everyone who uses forums already, already knows this.
But what forums to use? Well you can find many forums through searching for them in Google. Forums that are right for you, for your "niche". Maybe you have a website on snakes and want to promote that site. Well by searching for forums that are in that niche you can then join them and start posting away. Obviously having your sites link show up in your sig profile each time you make a post.
Here is a list of some forums that I frequent on an occasional basis and a little about them.
